This is a rare opportunity to delve into the depths of Vedic tradition and learn a practical use of Gayatri Mantra in modern daily life with Senior visiting Yoga Acharaya (Master) and author, Swami Muktibodhananda Saraswati.
Join us for this enriching weekend retreat to gain insight in to the practice and benefits of the Gayatri Mantra, considered a sacred sound vibration. This valuable practice also helps to awaken inner luminosity, wisdom, and intuition.
Participants will be guided through the Gayatri Sadhana through the use of asanas (body postures), pranayama (breathing techniques), mudras (gestures), mantra chanting, meditation and trataka (practice of steady gazing of an object).
The purpose of practising Gayatri Mantra and Meditation is to:
Create a protective vibration around yourself
Purify yourself and enlighten your mind
Empower yourself with material and spiritual benefits to further your spiritual practice
Alongside these practices, you will be welcomed to join in the day-to-day activities at Anahata such as Yoga Nidra (deep relaxation), Karma Yoga (actions with meditative awareness) and a fire ceremony for healing, peace and wellbeing.
The powerful natural setting of Anahata, overlooking Golden Bay and the nearby Abel Tasman National Park, inspires and deepens your sense of place and helps you to go deeper into the practices.
