Matariki: The Gathering

At Matariki, we gather together to mark the appearance of this star cluster, also known as the Pleides, in the winter sky.  This star cluster has held significance through in many cultures around the world, as one of the closest to our planet.  It marks the end of the season and annual cycle and the beginning of a new one. 

It is a special gathering, in the darkest time of the year, for us to express and share what we have harvested in our lives in the past year and an opportunity and to sort and plant our seeds of new growth for Spring.  Using the 5Rhythms movement practice, we explore this time of creativity, community and connection.
