Wellness Workshop Retreat Day

10am-4pm Saturday 4th April 2020

->Know you need to do something about your health but it always seems to end up at the bottom of the priority list?
->Feeling like you need some guidance navigating conflicting diet and health regimes?
->Wanting to reconnect to nature and spend a day nurturing yourself?

Join us for an inspiring day of nurturing food, ideas, company and gentle exercise in the beautiful Reikorangi valley on the Kapiti Coast.

The day will include a yoga session, food demonstration and discussions on philosophies around health, well being and nutrition to help motivate you to live your best life. 

In the evening for those who can camp overnight, we'll share dinner and weather permitting, gather around a fire circle to see the day out. 


->To help empower you to make a change that will help you on your wellness journey in whatever form that means to you.

The day will include:

* Opening Circle and introductions
* Yoga - practice and theory
* Wellness and you - discussion and reflection
* Food - some facts and research
* Physical fitness - how fit is fit enough?
* Cooking demonstration - TBD
* Walking tour of property - growing and foraging herbs and food
* Setting intentions - visioning meditation or exercise
* Closing circle


The Venue:
A 10 acre lifestyle block at the bottom of Kapakapanui on the banks of the Ngatiawa river.
Weather permitting some activities will be outside - bring warm clothes, rain coat, walking shoes, gum boots.


-> $100 for the day (all meals included, and will be based upon low carbohydrate, healthy fat principles.  Ingredients will be whole unprocessed, organic, local and homegrown, where possible.  Various dietary requirements can be catered for please let us know in advance)

-> Optional extra $50: camp overnight and enjoy fire circle, spa, topical movie, dinner and breakfast (bring own tent and bedding)

Numbers will be limited to 12 participants.

Health Coach - Sharon Dewhurst BEng MSc
Currently starting practice as a health coach (https://prekure.com/nz/) with training in homeopathy and herbal medicine.  An avid researcher in health matters for over 20 years and passionate about nurturing people and the planet.  Grower of organic fruit and vegetables and practiced facilitator of corporate and community groups. 

Yoga Teacher - Susan Ansell BA Soc, KHYF Cert, Dip Herb
Experienced yoga teacher and mentor (750 hour KHYF Yoga Teacher Certification and attends ongoing yoga teacher development training).  Uses the traditional tools of yoga to link mind, body and breath.  Passionate about providing space for people to connect to themselves and their community.
